Roquette America’s manufacturing facility in Keokuk, Iowa is an expansive continuous processing corn wet-milling facility that proudly produces corn-based starches, syrups and polyols used in many food and beverage applications as well as in pharmaceuticals, paper products, cosmetics and agricultural goods.

Job Description
Summary/Objective
Manage customer and inter-company deliveries for package shipments based on orders while respecting contractual terms, lead times, and budgets.
Essential Functions
· Assign carriers to domestic transportation orders (customers and inter-company)
· Track and trace shipments from carrier assignment to delivery
· Maintain regular contact with carriers to promote vendor relationship
· Report shipment exceptions to Customer Care Agents in a timely manner
· Coordinate the development of loading plans with assigned shipping facilities
· Manage carrier assignments with consideration to rate and service requirements
· Audit, investigate and determine approval for all air, ocean and road transportation invoices to ensure timely posting for payment
Secondary Functions
· Serve as backup support for Transportation Specialist – Import/Export to cover absences from the office
· Support investigation of package transportation-related customer complaints
· Support domestic package transportation projects and activities, including Requests for Quote (RFQ)
· Support package transportation Insurance Claims
Qualifications
Associates degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or similar vocation.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related business field preferred.
Relevant experience in a related field.
3 years’ experience managing outbound transportation
Extensive knowledge and understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Ability to work effectively with internal teams and create customized transportation solutions for the customer.
Proficiency of computer applications, including MS Office Suite, and MS Excel, in particular.
Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
