In December 2015 IBM announced the new Watson IoT Global Headquarters and our first ever Watson IoT Client Experience Center. The new headquarters, located in Munich, will bring together researchers, developers and consultants in a "campus" environment to drive collaborative innovation and deeper engagement with clients and partners from around the world. The center will also serve as a lab for data scientists, engineers and programmers to build innovative solutions at the intersection of cognitive computing and the IoT. The IBM Munich Center will cultivate the most vibrant global ecosystem of clients, startups, researchers and academics from every industry. Openly and collaboratively, all these partners will work together to make our clients' visions a reality and even better yet pose new innovations they haven't yet imagined.

Watson IoT Lab Insurance Service Designer
We seek a Watson IoT Lab Insurance Service Designer who will enable the co-design, co-development and rapid prototyping of real world IoT solutions in collaboration with clients and business partners to demonstrate the “art of the possible” (show vs. tell)
This individual will report to the Watson IoT Lab Insurance Leaderand support the day-to-day operations of the Lab, including:

·  Working with the insurance industry lab team (business consultants, business/solution architects, data scientists and programmers) to design and develop POCs
·  Performing user research and observation of user tasks and integrating these findings with business requirements to transform the user's mental model into the user interface.
·  Teasing out the important characteristics of users, their environments and work tasks to drive an intuitive experience.
·  Working with Visual Designers to create delightful and elegant User Experiences and developing user profiles, usability requirements, use cases & scenarios to articulate the solution experience.
·  Designing intuitive and simple user interfaces for web and mobile solutions, producing storyboards, mockups and conceptual models. This individual will have a good working knowledge of IBM offerings in IoT, Analytics, Mobile and Cloud. This individual is a strong team player and capable of working in an environment where things change fast and workload is high.

Required Skills:

·  5 years of Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Insurance with proficiency across the Insurance Value Chain, including: Product Development; Underwriting; Marketing, Sales & Distribution; Policy Servicing; Claims; & Operations and with knowledge across Life, Non-Life Personal, and Commercial Lines.
·  3 years of experience with solutions and technologies within the Internet of Things domain, including but not limited to: Sensor technology, Business to Consumer, Business to Business, Business to Employee, Machine to Machine, Connected Appliance, Connected Person, Connected Home, Connected Building, Connected Vehicle, Connected Supply Chain, Predictive Maintenance, Industry 4.0.
·  3 years of experience with mobile products and/or platforms (both IBM and non-IBM) such as: IBM Worklight, IBMBlueMix, and applying knowledge of mobile technical considerations and issues (e.g. Hybrid vs Native)
·  3 years of experience in User Experiences and developing user profiles, usability requirements, use cases & scenarios to articulate the solution experience
·  3 years of experience • Designing intuitive and simple user interfaces for web and mobile solutions, producing storyboards, mockups and conceptual models.
·  2 years of experience in Design Thinking Methodology
·  English fluently
·  German intermediate
