Internship/Praktikum: IoT & Commerce Prototype Dvpt for IBM Watson Hub

Job description

We are a development team for creating creative prototypes for the product "IBM Watson Content Hub". By that we demonstrate new usage patterns for content management in new technical areas like IoT, Robotics... At the end we publish a video at YouTube, put the demo to our ClientCenters and enable our customers and business partners. For that we are looking for a creative student, to extend a typical Commerce storefront demo with a WOW. Running as 4-6 month internship.

Goal is to extend a typical Storefront demo into the "real life" world. So we do not just show the next virtual pet shop, comic book store or similar. One example is an automatic packaging of a delivery for a comic book store, based on warehouse info stored withing the product catalog (Lego Mindstorms or similar, HW is available in BBL). Another one is a autonomous robot which is driving through your "store" and put everything found (limited by categories) as item into your store, incl picture. Think of a car dealer. The bot drives around the huge space and puts each new car into the WCH online store. This will all be a demo booth at the end to be donated to one or more IBM Client Centers in Germany. We need to extend our demos with a WOW suprise at the end, to become a unique demo experience. We have industry connections to IBM IoT folks to help with more demo booth content.
