Who You Are
You are a technology Evangelist by nature, and possess outstanding storytelling and presentation skills. You possess a proven track record for speaking and writing, and can provide publicly available examples of both. The ideal candidate has at least three years' experience in Software/Services Solutioning for pre- and post-sales engagements in the integration space.

You possess strong technical skills, and are willing and able to dive in to solve developer problems. The Developer Advocate is comfortable being fully hands-on fixing and writing code. You possess a can-do, no-problem-too-big-or-too-small attitude. In stressful situations, you are capable of maintaining a diplomatic approach and remaining calm when under pressure.

The Role
We are seeking a Developer Advocate on our Integration & Development Team to work with Marketing, Sales and Product Management to help drive awareness and adoption of our portfolio products through the following activities:

·  Code. This is not a “just talk” role. You will be writing code sample apps, tutorials, and helping customers and community members tackle problems
·  Work with bleeding leading edge technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Node.JS, Java, Scala, Istio, GraphQL, Cloud Functions and many other modern technologies
·  Speak to customers and evangelize at conferences, meetups, events, and other places where professional developers gather
·  Write blog posts and other copy to help build and engage community and spread increase knowledge and awareness of IBM's developer portfolio
·  Network with the members of our relevant community communities and other companies' ecosystem to help drive adoption and develop the market of IBM Integration & Development
·  Help Product Management teams improve developer products by conveying feedback from developers, customers and partners

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Bachelor's Degree or higher
·  3+ years' experience building applications using REST APIs and HTTP
·  3+ years' experience with Docker and Kubernetes
·  3+ years' experience with a minimum of four OR more modern programming languages (Java, C/C++, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Go, Perl, shell, etc.)
·  Minimum of 3 years' experience in Software/Services Solutioning for pre- and post-sales engagements in the Integration space
