JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is non-laboratory but will require a technical background to interact with other scientists. This role will support our incoming and outgoing product inventory and need to interact daily with both external and internal customers.

Primary Job Function:

  • Maintain stability sample inventory and execute testing strategy by coordinating incoming and outgoing sample inventory, shipping to appropriate laboratories, and maintaining records.
  • Supports multidiscipline laboratories in overall R&D inventory management of laboratory supplies and product for testing.
  • Keeps detailed records and follows all applicable procedures and SOPs.
  • Generates periodic reports and makes inventory updates and adjustments as needed.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team to support area objectives.
  • Interacts positively with internal customers and external vendors.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day Sample Center and Stock Room activities are core responsibilities. Those include:
    • Separate, label, and store samples from PRL, Pilot Plant, and/or Deviation. Pull samples at the appropriate time points and coordination of testing at both third-party and internal laboratories.
    • Maintain laboratory stock room supplies, including: consumables, solvents, gas cylinders, and glassware. Wash glassware as needed.
  • Maintain storage facilities, including quiescent ambient storage and elevated temperature & humidity ‘zone' incubators.

Skills & Experience:

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in a technical field required
  • 1-3 years relevant experience, preferred
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to prioritize workload and meet challenging deadlines
  • Maximo or other inventory software experience preferred
  • SampleManager or other LIMS software experience preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Office suite required
