Your responsibilities

·  You will assure that selected manufacturing technology and process fit to the defined product and manufacturing strategy of the Elevator Group.
·  You will be reviewing and directing investment funds into the right direction supporting the long term strategy.
·  You will be responsible for the selection of production technology and definition of best set up in reflection to market needs and product portfolio strategy in order to achieve continuously best performance.
·  You will be in charge of In-depth discussions and negotiations with relevant machine tool suppliers in order to define best matches in machine performance and supplier service.
·  You will be leading expert project teams to align them within the strategic goals of the Elevator Group.
·  You will be driving for process standardization with a feeling for operational needs.
·  You will ensure continuous knowledge exchange and transfer of best practices across several Operating Units and geographical territories
·  You will collaborate closely with manufacturing process experts as well as corporate functions such as investment, purchasing and IT

Your profile

·  Technical university degree
·  At least 3 years of working experience in manufacturing related areas
·  Deep knowledge of manufacturing planning, /-processes, LEAN manufacturing, project management and CIP
·  Understanding of product and manufacturing costing, bench marking practice and experience in investment evaluation and machine tool supplier negotiations
·  Knowledge of new machine/equipment procurement processes
·  Ability to work in a matrix structured organization
·  Team player and able to lead multicultural teams
·  High communication skills
·  Intercultural experience and willingness to travel intensively
·  Fluent in English and preferably knowledge of German and a third foreign language (Spanish or Chinese)
