Responsibilities

The Tableau Developer is responsible for designing and developing HR Analytics and Reporting Dashboards primarily in Tableau according to application requirements and demands of the business process enable reporting and analytics leveraging large and varied datasets. The individual is considered to be a specialist in charge of interacting with business project manager based in Paris, to create effective Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and analytics dashboards.

This job is well-suited to people who have problem-solving skills, work well as part of a team, and can manage their time effectively to meet deadlines and keep to projected schedules.

Profile Required

Primary Responsibilities

· 
Designing, developing, testing, deploying and supporting dashboards with the use of visualization tools like Tableau.

· 
Delivering reports as per the requirements

· 
Using SQL for managing large volume of data

· 
Communicating with customers to analyze historical data and identify KPIs

· 
Improving data processing speed by building SQL automations

· 
Tweaking SQL queries for best performance

· 
Analyzing the data to identify trends and share insights

· 
Recognizing areas for automation

· 
Restricting data to particular users with the help of user filters and data management securities

· 
Producing support documentation and keep existing documentation up-to-date

· 
Carrying out investigation and analysis of root causes (technical)

· 
Ensure Tableau platform is up and running : at least one version upgrade is scheduled per year

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

· 
Overall 4-6 years of professional experience

· 
Min 1- 2 years of current experience on Tableau Professional/Analyst Software Suite in building dashboards, scorecards using Tableau. (Earlier career experience in similar technologies/platforms like MS BI, Power BI etc. is also acceptable and would be an added advantage)

· 
Experience in creating visualization and publishing

· 
Experience in Tableau Desktop/Server architecture

· 
Experience in Creating, configuring, and deploying Tableau Servers

· 
Experience on Tableau Authorization concepts

· 
Hands-on professional with thorough knowledge of scripting, data source integration and advanced GUI development in Tableau

· 
Full understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing, and data transformation.

· 
Ability to write complicated yet efficient SQL queries and stored procedures

· 
Strong knowledge of Tableau server architecture and building qvds and qvws applying business rules and data validations

· 
Experience in end-to-end implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) reports & dashboards.

· 
Comfortable in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources

· 
Knowledge of formal database architecture and design. Excellent SQL experience

· 
Know how to monitor/install Tableau on dedicated servers

Education and Training

· 
B.E/MCA (Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar subject)

· 
Bachelor's/Master's degree related to IT, such as Computer Science, Statistics/Analytics, Mathematics or Engineering

· 
Formal training or certification in Tableau, SQL, ETL, Database management, Visualization and data discovery, Tableau Server knowledge, Tableau functions is beneficial

Business Insight

Current HR system is composed of different applications, some dedicated to local entities, other used transversally. Those applications can manage many usages such as payroll, training…. Therefore, when the needs to transversal dashboarding happen, it is difficult to generate them. In order to ease their creation, HR Analytics main aim is to provide capabilities for transversal dashboard/report on human resource topics (headcount, campaign follow up….).

The team is located mainly in Paris and uses agile methodology. Dailies are setup with all team members.

The is an individual contributor role within SocGen's Global Solution Centre in India with extensive interaction including day to day business direction coming from the onsite project and business teams, primarily in Paris, France.
