Portfolio Innovations Go-to-Market Intern

Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM)

Location: Troy, MI

Segment Marketing is a function within Siemens Digital Industries Software manufacturing segment, responsible for developing portfolio marketing programs, and is seeking an intern passionate about software innovation supporting manufacturing innovations like smart manufacturing, cloud, big data and machine learning technologies.

The Segment Marketing team creates rich content materials (blogs, whitepapers, webinars etc. backed by market research) for our existing and potential customers on portfolio innovations, business value and conducts marketing analytics. We are a leading global software company dedicated to helping innovative manufacturers world-wide design, manufacture and deploy innovative products faster! With the resources of a global organization and the energy of a start-up company, we have fun together while delivering innovative emerging marketing services that improve our customers experience and Siemens marketing operational efficiency.

As a marketing intern in the Segment Marketing Innovation to Market team you will:

· 

Introduce our portfolio innovations, specially cloud-based solutions for manufacturing space to market

· 
Support market awareness programs through thought leadership campaigns & related market research and assets

· 
Meet with internal customers to understand their needs on blogs, whitepapers, webinars to drive market awareness programs

· 
Support blogs and other Social Media awareness programs, content publishing (authored by experts in the field) and relevant calendar of events

· 
Support internal Proof of Concepts or benchmarking activities for advanced data analytics with portfolio innovations around data driven manufacturing

· 
Communicate and coordinate activities to segment marketing business leaders and stakeholders

Organization Requirements:

· 

Studying for a degree in science, engineering or business (the latter combined with good technical understanding)

· 
You are excited by new technologies and business models pertaining to software technology innovations in manufacturing / production domain

· 
Experience with cloud technologies, Microsoft office products, power point, excel, project planning etc.

· 
Motivated to learn market research methods, support experts in market research for select innovation topics, document results in presenting to broader team

· 
Passionate about participating in a collaborative mentorship program

· 
Sharp and tenacious problem-solving skills

· 
Exceptional analytical, investigative, and communication skills
