Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

We offer you an exciting task as a software developer (m/f) in the field of intelligent traffic engineering systems
·
You will develop demanding and innovative software solutions and innovative algorithms for optimizing the traffic flow in the road networks of our cities. The project is revolutionary in the field of traffic management systems, as it will set the goal of using data from conventional traffic detectors as well as the goal to include data from connected or cooperating vehicles

You will also work with experts from the areas machine learning, data research and transport modelling in order to develop new and innovative solutions to develop and implement innovative concepts for grid-adaptive control
·
You are responsible for the rapid implementation of prototypes of new approaches, the implementation of complex algorithms and the final testing in a simulation and test environment
·
In addition, you are responsible for the reliable operation of newly developed algorithms in our customers' traffic management system
·
You work in an international agile scrum team and cooperate with further scrum teams (cross-locationally and transnationally)
·
Furthermore, you will cooperate with our most important customers, universities, industrial partners and traffic engineers as they are the users of our processes
Your qualifications – solid and appropriate
·
You have a degree in an informational, natural or cultural field engineering discipline
·
In addition, you are experienced in the software development in the so called “Java language”
·
Very good knowledge in handling and developing data structures and algorithms are also part of your repertoire
·
Your strengths also include your analytical thinking and the ability to analyze errors
·
You already have experiences with Amazon Web Services and the development of rapid prototypes
·
Because you work together with colleagues at different locations (at home and abroad), you have excellent German and very good English skills
·
You have the willingness to spend several months in the UK (London), followed by occasional travel activities
