Research Scientist for Pre-development of Low voltage power distribution

Region: Shanghai

Functional area: Research

Goal of function

To create innovative technology in the area of low voltage power distribution, e.g., low voltage power distribution system with circuit breaker and power monitoring device involved.

To carry out R&D work in a project team as an individual contributor

Responsibilities / Tasks

Propose innovative concepts.

Carry out patent & literature study of selected research topics.

Carry out sample, technology & manual study of targeted products.

Implement demonstrators/prototypes based on innovative concepts.

Collaborate with global R&D colleagues

Communicate with local university, industry institute and other research organization

Education

Master+ in electrical engineering, electronics, control engineering, automation.

Ph.D is preferred.

Knowledge

Experience in analogue circuit design.

Power grid/power electronics simulation

Familiarity with digital circuit is a plus.

Willing to do innovation work(new idea proposal, patent study)

Experience with CAD tools.

Capability to implement and test hardware prototypes.

Willing to do documentation work.

Language

Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
