The Diagnostics and Bioscience Research Group of Siemens Healthineers Technology Center in Bangalore, India is looking to recruit candidate who has a keen interest and passion to do interdisciplinary research and development in the areas of biology and biochemistry. This person will be involved in hands-on experimentation involving molecular, cellular and biochemical assays for measurements of biological phenomenon. The ideal candidate would combine knowledge of molecular biology and biochemistry with a passion for development of cost-effective diagnostic workflows. A practical hands-on ability to perform bench work in biological laboratories, use appropriate instrumentation and work in a multi-disciplinary team is required.

What are my responsibilities?

· Perform hands-on lab work to develop new workflows on existing and new instrumentation platforms
· Prepare test plan and protocol for assigned tasks
· Collect, analyze, and interpret data; prepare statistical and narrative reports and/or graphs, as appropriate
· Apply scientific method and experimental design in problem solving.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· Bachelors/Master in biophysics or equivalent disciplines
· Hands on technical expertise and exposure to the experimental techniques in biochemistry, fluidics
· Ability to write scripts in Matlab, R or similar high-level programming languages
· Experience with design of experiments, statistical and data analysis software is a plus
