Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

· The rail industry is beginning to recognize the benefits of driver’s assistance features and autonomous driving, and to forge solutions. Driving through populated/urban areas and at 300km/h between cities, while adhering to precise scheduling adds complexity to our endeavour. As expert you appreciate these challenges and can envision and design solutions.
· You join our skilled and visionary team of experts and shape a new era of rail transportation.
· You will work in a team developing applications on the field of sensor data processing and fusion focusing on advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous vehicles.
· You are responsible for the application development on the field of sensor data processing, sensor fusion and image processing (camera, ultrasound, radar, laser etc).
· You design software architecture of the applications.
· You design and implement tests for system and software components (embedded systems).
· The documentation is part of your tasks.

Your qualifications – solid and appropriate

· You have successfully completed a university education in computer sciences or electrical engineering.
· You have solid knowledge of and experience with connected systems (minimum 3 years, preferrably 5 - 10 years) and solid knowledge of and experience with developing complex software applications for industrial environment.
· You gained excellent C/C++ programming skills and are proficient with scripting languages (e.g. Python) and Unix/Linux based operating systems.
· Experience working with ROS, different sensors and bus systems (CAN, TCP/IP) is a plus.
· You show passion for quality products, software development principles, best practices and you have strong problem solving skills.
· You have excellent communication, teamwork and technical writing skills.
