PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

As part of the Products & Innovation organization within SAP, the Innovation Center Network (ICN) embraces both the creativity and agility of a startup and the backbone of a world market leader in business software. We connect teams around the globe working on a diverse range of projects, while following the same approach to innovation. Within the different teams we foster collaboration of engineers, designers, product experts, and business developers who are driven by a common mindset: be bold, be honest, be critical, be customer-focused, and most importantly, enjoy work!

Within a startup-like environment, we explore unconventional ideas and develop inspiring proof of concepts. We challenge the state of the art in computer science and its applied fields to provide foresight into future trends. For these missions, we need bright minds.

The ICN is focused on exploring disruptive business ideas, new concepts and aiming for success in new markets. We have attracted many co-innovation partners from various industries and companies of all sizes, from longstanding SAP customers to early stage startups. Collaboration with colleagues from our partner companies for the entire runtime from ideation to having a ready solution is an essential part of our projects.

The Research and Innovation Team based in Walldorf is one of the global teams of the Innovation Center Network. Recently, we developed a new, HANA-based solution for innovation management and are currently working on a set of new products in research and early development phases. Coming from various cultural and academic backgrounds, our highly skilled team brings top notch programming expertise combined with a good deal of out-of-the-box thinking to the table.

Currently, we are looking for talented and motivated students to work with us on the topic ‘NextGeneration Marketing’ within the area of Future Corporate Management. We drive innovative concepts for data-driven marketing and develop proof-of-concepts to validate the viability with customers.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

·  Work with & support a team within the SAP Innovation Center Network in a variety of project related activities, e.g. project management and presentations
·  Work on assets related to concepts, internal & external communication and marketing
·  Participate in workshops with stakeholders & customers and learn to apply Design Thinking and other innovative methodologies.

Desired profile

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

·  Student (f/m) at a university or university of applied sciences with preferred field(s) of study: Business Administration, Marketing, Communications and related
·  Required skills:
·  First experience in project management
·  Outstanding communication and organizational skills
·  Excellent in working with other people
·  Highly flexible, able to work and thrive in rapidly changing environment, able to handle uncertainty and frequent changes
·  Excellent executer, gets the job done in a positive, encouraging manner
·  Basic know-how of Enterprise Applications
·  Language skills: fluency in English (spoken + written); German is an advantage
