Ingénieur en automatisation des tests immunologiques et biologiques / Lab Automation Engineer in immunology test development ( H/F)

Le groupe de recherche en Science Translationnelle et Biomarqueur (TSB) de Sanofi Pasteur recherche un spécialiste en automatisation pour jouer un rôle de premier plan dans le développement d'essais biologiques automatisés et de traitement de données à haut débit à son site de Marcy-L'Étoile en France avec une interaction fréquente avec les sites de Sanofi Pasteur en Amérique du Nord.

Le/la candidat(e) sera responsable de la réalisation de diverses tâches dans le développement de systèmes automatisés et de tests immuno-biologiques dans un environnement de laboratoire de recherche. Les tâches incluent la programmation d'automates (pipeteurs/diluteurs/lecteurs), réalisation de plan d'expériences, manipulation en confinement stérile d'agent biologiques de classe 1 à 3 pré-approuvés par une équipe santé et sécurité et environnement (HSE) et d'implémenter des logiciels d'automatisation et d'analyse de données.

Le/la candidat(e) aura comme mission de développer l'architecture des plateformes robotisées, de développer les protocoles et méthodes automatisées, de préparer les documents de qualification et validation selon les normes GxP voulues et de faire la formation du personnel qui devra utiliser les automates.

De plus en tant que responsable d'équipement, il aura la mission de coordonner le maintien du matériel d'automatisation seul ou avec des fournisseurs externes. Le/la candidat(e) sera appelé(e) à écrire et présenter (anglais ou français) le développement de tests réalisés par lui ou sa gouverne. Les responsabilités secondaires incluent la rédaction de procédures opératoires normalisées (SOP) utilisant l'automatisation, la maintenance des équipements, la préparation d'évaluation de risques (biologique et machine) attachées aux laboratoires en automatisation.

Education , Expérience et Compétences

Master 2 issu d'école d'ingénieur avec au moins 1 ans d'expérience pertinente ou Ph.D. avec expérience en bio-industries.

Le diplôme doit être dans les domaines de l'ingénierie, de la bio-ingénierie, des sciences physiques, de l'informatique ou des sciences appliquées.

Le/la candidat(e) doit avoir une expérience préalable dans les laboratoires de recherche en développement de tests immunologiques, bactériologiques et virologiques de laboratoire vers des tests à haut débit.

Le/la candidat(e) doit posséder une vaste expérience des équipements d'automatisation de laboratoire (de préférence des systèmes Hamilton, perkin, Tecan ou Agilent) et une connaissance opérationnelle des instruments de dosage immunologique (tels que les ELISA, cytomètres en flux, Octet, Luminex, MesoScale, Biotek, Cytomat et lecteurs de plaques multimodes).

Une expertise en programmation avec des gestionnaires de liquides commerciaux et des logiciels HTS est requise (Vénus, Vantage, Freedom EVOware, Overlord ou autres équivalents).

De plus le/la candidat(e) doit avoir une expérience préalable aux logiciels d'analyse (GraphPadPrism, Excel, SoftMaxpro, XLfit, Microvision, AxioVision, etc). Des connaissances sur la programmation (VB, VBA Excel, .NERT, C #, ASP, Java Script, SQL Server, Matlab) et le développement d'algorithme (sous R, ImageJ) sont des compétences hautement souhaitées.

The Translational Science and Biomarker group at Sanofi Pasteur is seeking a automation specialist to serve a lead role in developing high throughput automated assays and processes at the Marcy-L' Etoile, France. This position is responsible performing a variety of tasks in the development of automated systems and assays in a research laboratory environment. Duties include programming of liquid handlers and automation software, aiding in the development of automated protocols and methods, preparation of validation documents, training of staff on automated equipment use, maintaining automation equipment and some presentation of data (written and oral). The position will be responsible for assisting in performing large scale experiments and developing methods to analyze large data sets. Secondary responsibilities include writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for automation procedures and assays, following all the SOPs related to the work, maintaining equipment and training new users for instruments.

Applicant must have previous experience in developing and transitioning laboratory immunoassays into fully automated high throughput assays. Applicant should have extensive experience with laboratory automation equipment (preferably Hamilton, Tecan, or Agilent based systems) and operational knowledge of immunoassay based instruments (such as flow cytometers, Octet, Luminex, MesoScale, Biotek, Cytomat and Multi-mode plate readers). Programming expertise with commercial liquid handlers and HTS software are required (Venus, Vantage, Freedom EVOware, Overlord preferred), while programming knowledge in .NET (VB, C#, ASP), Java Script, SQL server, VBA Excel and Matlab are highly desired. ·  Develop and optimize automation protocols for experimental and analytical assays.
·  Design, perform, and assist technical staff in the execution of automated experiments and data management to achieve goals set forth in study and work plans.
·  Demonstrate technical proficiency in a broad array of automation based techniques for laboratory experiments and data management.

Software and Automated Data Management

·  Develop and program automation for data analysis.
·  Develop applications and scripts for scientific use and automated processes.
·  Develop graphical user interfaces to assist and improve research staff efficiency in performing R&D laboratory functions.

Teamwork/collaboration

·  Foster a cooperative environment with both technical staff and management team to help achieve the success of project goals within the functional group and project teams.
·  Provide guidance to personnel regarding automation protocol development and execution.

GxP and safety

·  Responsible for insuring automation platforms and systems are safe and comply with HSE policies.
·  Responsible for proper documentation for compliancy and recording research work in research studies.
·  Prepare and write support manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and validation documents for applications or work processes.

The Automation Engineer is primarily a laboratory-focused position with some low-level management responsibilities. They must have a detailed knowledge of the scientific goals and strategy for their assigned project(s), translate the goals of the project to their team, and successfully coordinate efforts transversely across the teams to achieve project milestones. Engineers are expected to manage experimental obstacles by leveraging their knowledge, experience, and awareness of current techniques described in the literature. This position will require communication regarding technical expertise with Sanofi network collaborators and with external engineering companies. Engineers are responsible for the development of automation procedures and equipment. The position will require an individual to be proficient in developing and transitioning laboratory immunoassays into fully automated high throughput assays. Profile , Education/experience

M.Sc. with 2 years of relevant experience or Ph.D. with 1 year

Degree should be in engineering, bioengineering, physical, computer science or applied science field.
