3rd shift position Sunday-Thursday 11PM-7AM
Under general supervision the Quality Technician will have direct responsibility for all quality assurance activities associated with the products and process in an assigned area.
Perform daily audits to include: a review of manufacturing documentation; a review of manufacturing product inspection results in order to make disposition on the acceptance of product; visual, functional, and dimensional product testing; process parameter checks. Collect and analyze quality indicator data to facilitate continuous process improvement. Participate in the evaluation of new products and the process by which they are manufactured. Assist Quality Engineers and Sr. Quality Technicians in performing protocols on the manufacturing floor. Serve as a technical resource to the TQM teams for continuous process improvement. Conduct audits in assigned manufacturing areas to ensure compliance with Device GMP’s, MDD guidelines, and ISO 13485 guidelines. Develop Standard Operating Procedures for respective areas and serve as PROs (i.e. the most knowledgeable person) for certain plant procedures and guidelines. Investigate and respond to customer complaints. Develop forms for documenting data required to disposition the acceptability of the product and the process. Train manufacturing personnel in measurement techniques, good documentation practices and in both the variable and attribute quality characteristics of APD products. Enter quality information in the InfinityQS SPC system. Perform final release of product. Knowledge of simple mathematical concept and measurements. 3 years of related quality assurance, quality control experience or completion of Quality Technician program. Occupational Demand Requirements: Position may require standing, walking, twisting, driving, writing, talking, sitting, bending, climbing ladders/steps, handling, turning, stooping, balancing, carrying, grasping, use both feet, use both hands, reaching 24 in., pushing 20 lbs., pulling 20 lbs., lifting 10 lbs., lowering 10 lbs., reading, problem solving, verbal communication, reasoning, negotiating, written communications, customer contact/general public, math calculations, deadlines under pressure, learning/retaining technical information, irregular hours, machine paced operations, exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, or 10 lbs. frequently to move objects. Worker sits most of the time. Working conditions position may be exposed to include: equipment/mechanical/electrical hazards, chemical/vapor hazards, unpleasant odors, and ultraviolet lighting.
