POSITION PURPOSE
NTO Category Buyer provides category support to Category Manager Indirect Spend for NTO. The role supports the respective category managers with their daily tasks by running sourcing projects/ initiatives, development and execution of NTO Indirect spend and supplier management strategies. He/ she provides analytics and prepares ad-hoc reports for the category team. He/ she contributes to delivery of measurable value for Novartis, through alignment of business requirements, sourcing expertise, supplier market intelligence, financial productivity and mitigation of risk.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Supports Category Managers in day-to-day spend, projects and vendors management activities.

• Supports development and execution of projects based on the Category Strategy and business activities to feed into the annual category planning,

• Supports stakeholders in matters management (Project Management) by providing analytics and tracking matter specific metrics.

• Collects supplier, market, category and internal business data,

• Performs complex matter and vendor level spend analysis,

• Prepares ad-hoc reports for customers and the category team,

• Contributes to cost-effectiveness of commercial deals, risk management of supply base and ensuring that company standards are appropriately applied,

• Contributes to global / regional Category Management projects and Value generation

Requisitos mínimos

• Bachelor’s degree required at a minimum, Master’s degree preferred,
• CIPS or similar qualification desirable.
• Spanish, Excellent written and oral English, Portuguese would be a plus.
• Min. 2 years experience working in a global environment, in an equivalent position.
• Good understanding of operations and business culture of multinational company, cross-cultural working international experience
