As the Ethics & Compliance Principal you will provide direction on compliance matters in area of expertise and assist department leadership in setting strategic direction. You are responsible for management of compliance functions which may include: policy strategy and development, contract negotiations, compliance auditing, process and system improvements. You will interface directly with company and external regulatory officials to resolve compliance impediments. You will create, implement, improve and manage planned and systematic processes and methods to assure compliance with all regulations, guidelines and standards.

You will also drive organizational initiatives aimed at improving business process effectiveness that contributes to achieving sustainable results. You will work cross-functionally with multiple business areas and affiliates and support them in various compliance initiatives. You may also be accountable for working with global teams on specific compliance initiatives. You will be responsible for all aspects of assigned projects and the single point of contact. You will provide a unifying vision of the project goal, as well as continuous clear direction toward the goal. You should possess a specialized and in-depth comprehensive knowledge in compliance, contracting and/or auditing. Your duties are varied and complex, and often, involving research, analysis and solution development. You will work with minimum supervision.

You will also be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

·  Provides strategic direction and leadership on appropriate engagements of healthcare professionals to Roche Diagnostics Corporation, Roche Diagnostics Operations and Roche Health Solutions and coordinates with US and global affiliates
·  Creates, reviews and negotiates contracts with healthcare professional to ensure compliance to Roche policies
·  Manages the charitable donations, commercial sponsorships and educational funding processes and systems to ensure compliance with Roche policies
·  Develops and fosters cross-departmental relationships to aide in development of communication, conduct relevant training and assist with policy development that are responsive to customer requirements and Roche's risk mitigation needs
·  Designs, implements, and manages systems, or processes to increase productivity to achieve sustainable results. Maintain and update guidance materials on the Ethics and Compliance SharePoint site
·  Leads and manages Ethics and Compliance Week, a yearly event designed to provide exposure to compliance topics
·  Adheres to all Roche and Departmental policies and procedures and ensure compliance
·  Demonstrates collaboration, teamwork and interpersonal skills conducive to professional work environment
·  Serves as departmental representative on cross-functional teams, as assigned
·  Responsible for management of compliance functions which may include: policy strategy and development, contract drafting and negotiations, compliance auditing, process and system improvements

Requirements:

·  Bachelor's degree
·  8 years of ethics, compliance, contracting, and/or auditing experience
·  Strong knowledge of fraud and abuse regulations and familiarity with state and federal disclosure laws
·  Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills
·  Strong interpersonal and communications skills
·  Experience with Microsoft word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
·  Ability to collaborate across functions and teams
·  Knowledge of HIPAA and other privacy laws, data security, the Sunshine Act, investigating business ethics incidents, and fraud and abuse laws

Preferred

·  SAP experience
