Fix Network Design Engineer (m/w)

about the role

·  create and develop Fix & Transport Network designs
·  assist in the delivery of planning and design necessary work to consolidate network domains
·  ead transport network trials to evaluate technology for continuous network evolution
·  align business requirements with the network evolution in order to maintain market leading position in capacity and performance
·  review and validate fix and/or transport design provided by MSP or vendor
·  produce designs that integrate with other domains, align with long-term strategy and identify system interfaces
·  TSC/OSC per domain, interworking with Vendor technical support and Orange Group technical expertise center
·  create and maintain design documentation
·  align the produced project design and implementation plans to operational requirements and the service quality objectives

about you

·  university degree in Telecommunications/IT
·  at least 3 years of experience in mobile/fixed telecom as a designer on business-critical, high-availability/high-throughput systems and fix access networks
·  solid understanding of IP protocols
·  understanding 3GPP and non-3GPP architectures is an advantage
·  knowledge of:

           developing, secure and interconnecting fix networks, IP-based mobile networks
           IPv4 and IPv6 addressing
           IP/MPLS technologies (L2/L3 VPNs and basic IP security)
           IP technologies (routing and switching, multicast)
           QoS mechanisms

·  knowledge and experience in Unix based systems is a plus
·  understanding project management tools and techniques
·  proficiency in Romanian, Russian and English

The objective of the job is to deliver technical designs for transport in the access networks, acting as the technical lead on specific projects; provide solutions and support to other teams in term of transport solution expertise, lead and drive specific project; detailed and comprehensive design documents elaboration, coordination between teams.
