Air Export Coordinator | Tulsa, OK USA | req47052

The Air Export Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of air export shipments in compliance with TSA and US government regulations. Normal responsibilities include handling shipments from pickup at customer to confirmed departure of last leg for various airfreight services, direct communication with customers, overseas offices, airlines and truckers. General administrative responsibilities include billing, rate quotations and generating reports. Some dangerous goods and letter of credit handling may be necessary.

YOUR ROLE

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Record receipt of documents
• Schedule workload based on established management priorities
• Review documents to determine:
o admissibility
o correct IoR, PoA, bond, Known Shipper Status
o special tariff treatment
o missing documents
o ascertain sufficiency of data for declaration and entry;
• Contact designated client representative if necessary to:
o 1. obtain missing documents
o 2. obtain and document additional information
o 3. clarify and document ambiguous information;
• Establish routings and route maps;
• Monitor for AES Release;
• Coordination of all aspects of the arrival (including, but not limited to, billing,
rate quotation, approval of vendor invoices, etc.) Insure data quality accuracy and correctness
• Work closely with other departments to deliver high level of service to customers

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

Experience
• The ideal candidate will have 3 – 5 years of experience in airfreight forwarding.
• Good knowledge of incoterms, harmonize tariff schedule, customs regulations, and other relevant government requirements/regulations.
• Problem Solving and Decision Making
• Resolve issues respective to meeting client requirements for transit times and data input – general customer service inquiries related to tracking & tracing.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and discrepancies against client SOP's.
• Analysis & Judgment
• Pro-actively seeks and retrieves information where needed
• Draws logical conclusions from available information
• Thinks through likely implications of own actions to the business
• In depth knowledge of export procedures
• Ability to be profit conscious
• Ability to work with demanding deadlines
• Good planning and organization skills; ability to multitask and be a self-starter
Knowledge & Skills
• College degree or relevant experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Other Requirements
• Work outside of regular scheduled hours may be necessary
• Listens and responds appropriately to customer requests
• Develops customer specific knowledge
• Co-operates and collaborates with colleagues
