Job description

SUMMARY

This is a newly created position based in Shanghai with primary responsibilities to delivers the Corporate Security mission by implementing and executing programs that maximize business resiliency, ensure cost effective and efficient retail security loss prevention and risk management are designed to safeguard business interests, people at work and company properties.

This position will also be primarily in charge of the retail security issues for the following brands within Asia Pacific Region: Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Boucheron, Pomellato, Qeelin and other luxury or sports and lifestyle brands as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Security

·  Manages execution of Corporate Security strategies to reduce corporate risk and ensuring worldwide global security standards, policies and procedures are implemented are properly maintained and sustained.  Drive risk-based mitigation strategies tailored to regional market threat and vulnerability profiles.
·  Support the implementation of Global emergency contingency plans for natural/man-made disasters, evacuations and other emergencies impacting People, Profit and Reputation as directed.
·  Work closely with Corporate Supply Chain team to conduct regular comprehensive and security and CSR audits as directed.
·  Implement cost effective proactive security programs to address identified exposures leveraging on existing programs.
·  Develop and foster effective working relationships with local law enforcement and other regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over, or dealings with, retail operations.

Assets protection

·  Responsible for all retail security operations including safeguarding of corporate, retail and supply chain facilities, staff, visitors, and assets.
·  Build effective partnerships in the field that can be demonstrated on the design and implementation of loss prevention policies and procedures that reduce shrink, protect Company assets, promote employee safety, and enhance customer satisfaction.
·  Contribute to the development of asset protection policies, procedures, and crisis response standards.
·  Work closely with Store Planning and Operations Departments and managing the design and implementation of security systems (including but not limited to CCTV, intruder alarm, access control, anti-tagging systems) and manpower services for current and future stores, offices and warehouse projects from inception through development to opening.
·  Develop and implement training programs and initiatives in partnership with internal and external parties, including local PD, to increase awareness on safety initiatives and emergency/crisis management response and procedures.
·  Implement internal Risk and Safety Audits in-store with emphasis on guiding and coaching by offering solutions to issues within the company policies and procedures.

Investigation

·  Partner with Human Resources, Legal, Operations, to conduct investigations, operational assessments, and to create action plans that address areas of concern.
·  Ensure all internal and external investigations are completed in a timely manner and in compliance with all corporate and legal standards and appropriate confidentiality.

REQUIREMENTS

·  Bachelor Degree holder majoring in Law or Criminology or related disciplines is preferred
·  At least 8 years of corporate security or asset protection experience; retail industry experience is preferred.
·  Advanced knowledge of corporate security management (e.g. risk management, crisis and emergency management, physical security, investigations, personnel security, executive protection) is a plus.
·  Solid experience in liaison different level law enforcement, government regulatory agencies and private industrial security.
·  Law enforcement or military background is a plus.
·  Effective influencing, presentation and facilitation skills.  Powerful communicator with various levels of organization and external parties.
·  Proactive, self-motivated, mature, resourceful, hardworking, have excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.  Able to work under pressure and independently.
·  Excellent written and spoken English is essential
·  Must demonstrate good computer skills and software application proficiency such as Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word and so on
·  Travel in the region will be required and up to 20- 25%
