The European Front Desk Engineering Team are located in Germany based in the European Technical Centre. The concept of Front Desk Engineering is to bring together a collaborative, co-located team from the regional Technical Service team, Quality Assurance and Product Engineering to focus on the concerns and requirements of the European markets and customers.

 

The key objective of this Chassis Engineering role is to accelerate the pace of problem resolution across the broad range of European markets within the European region and provide a clear and aligned single point of contact to the Global Engineering function in the UK.  Key areas of focus will be on product quality, market knowledge, and test & development.

 

Working alongside the regional Technical Service teams you’ll support investigation, resolution and prevent recurrence of complex customer concerns.  This will be conducted via remote diagnostics, “hands-on” test & evaluation during market visits, market data analysis and collaboration with colleagues across other Front Desk Engineering teams which are based across the globe.  You will also utilise the support of the Global Engineering function in the UK.  While supporting unique investigations you’ll also be focussed on understanding systemic concerns and building your understanding of the customer expectations from the various markets including market specific attributes.

 

The role is based in a dynamic environment and you’ll bring your skillset and knowledge base to a diverse team with a further goal to transfer knowledge and enhance the capability of the local Technical Service teams.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You’ll come from an engineering background, with in-depth understanding of Chassis Engineering. You’ll have a relevant degree or equivalent experience, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to articulate clear messages.

 

Any experience of working within a matrix structure is highly beneficial, as is proficiency in another European language. Any international working experience is also advantageous.
