Position Summary

The Alternatives transformation role will form part of the team focusing on migrating or launching a client’s business onto the JPM HFS business platform.  The Onboarding team will be required to perform tax lot and balance sheet establishment at a point in time, reconciliation to third party records incorporating accounting and ledger functions, most low-to-medium complexity operational functions, and low-to-medium complexity data analysis functions.

Key responsibilities:

·  Analyze and translate existing Client and Administrator data to match JPM standards and workflows. Flag any potential service delivery issues as early as possible managing the resolution.
·  Complete Nav2Nav comparisons during the parallel process investigating and managing any differences.
·  Work closely with the Data Analytics teams to initialize asset universe and value positions ensuring proper representation.
·  Act as part of a team designing and implementing solutions in conjunction with Arcesium and other technology initiatives. 
·  Help to develop custom automations to increase system efficiency, quality and effectiveness.
·  On-going review of daily controls leading the development and maintenance of procedures and checklists.
·  Participate and provide cross training across the Onboarding teams.
·  Provide a premier client service by building a strong relationship with the investment manager and any other third parties.
·  Ensure all scheduled work is completed by agreed deadlines, checklists are signed and files contain all required information prior to closing an event and filing.
·  Ensure all Onboarding-related issues are resolved timely and in full agreement with Operations. Maintaining issue logs for both internal and external parties with audit back up.

Qualifications:
·  In-depth understanding of the Alternative Investment sector
·  Extensive knowledge of hedge fund structures and products including fund of hedge funds.
·  Knowledgeable of operations and accounting processes / technologies
·  Working knowledge of MS Excel & Word
·  Demonstrated ability to think strategically with respect to product strategy and development agenda
·  Ability to work independently and also effectively in a matrix organisation
·  Strong leader within a team environment with the ability to set high standards and focus the team on achieving & improving on them
·  Strong client management skills and ability to build key relationships
·  Ability to motivate and influence to improve service standards.
·  Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
