Role Summary/Purpose

Supplier quality engineers are responsible for coordinating suppliers and verifying quality standards in accordance with requirements of GE Additive. They are in charge of performing regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with standards and participate in strategic development based on quality control plans. They manage the supply chain, serve as the liaison for suppliers, suggest structural quality and process improvements and collaborate with other engineers in a team environment.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Technically assess potential new suppliers 
·  Qualify or disqualify suppliers according to organization's standards 
·  Audit suppliers 
·  Manage Supplier Deviations 
·  Monitor and improve supplier quality KPIs (escapes, deviations, etc.) 
·  Establish specific short and long-term supplier quality goals
·  Problem solving and root cause analysis with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformities – drive “zero defect” mentality within the supplier base
·  Willingness to trave:
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Degree in business related field
·  Profound experience in manufacturing environment or equivalent 
·  Demonstrated (supplier) quality or related experience
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English 
·  Valid driver license
