Job Description

Environmental Specialist:

We are looking for a qualified environmental specialist to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for performing field inspections, designing employee training programs, preparing detailed reports, and analyzing test samples.

Our ideal candidate will be a qualified expert with an excellent understanding of environmental and natural sciences. All candidates will demonstrate outstanding communication skills, with an aptitude for understanding and interpreting data. Your ultimate goal will be to ensure our compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to air, water and waste.

Responsibilities:

•              Maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systems.

•              Facilitate organization and leadership development efforts to address the root cause of environmental issues.

•              Coach management and employees at all levels to ensure compliance with all environmental program expectations and applicable federal & state laws.

•              Recommending and implementing appropriate risk mitigation measures to management.

•              Conducting appropriate inspections and audits, and ensuring corrective actions are monitored and documented.

•              Conducting EHS training as needed, including new employee and contractor orientation.

•              Responding to and investigating environmental and chemical related concerns and incidents.

•              Perform other duties, as assigned, in support of the EHS Program.

Minimum Requirements:

•              Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 3+ years of EHS experience (or a High school diploma / GED with an additional 5+ years of EHS experience).

Desired Characteristics:

•              Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with and work well with others in order to manage projects, meetings.

•              Works well independently and in a group environment.
