Role Summary/Purpose

The Lead Sourcing Specialist - Commodity Management will be responsible for developing & driving strategy for assigned commodities to meet BN deflation, cash, fulfillment, quality, and inventory objectives.
Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Lead Sourcing Specialist - Commodity Management, you will:

·  Lead the development and execution of the global commodity strategies and purchase agreements for assigned commodities

·  Support NPI (new product introductions) for assigned commodities

·  Meet cost out deflation targets via supplier negotiations, alternate supplier development, and/or shifting to low cost region suppliers

·  Ensure supplier performance stability to meet delivery and quality expectations, via lead time reductions, capacity improvements, etc.

·  Develop strategic relationships with global suppliers

·  Drive supplier compliance to GE standard payment terms and increase net days to pay to meet cash goals

·  Leverage vendor managed inventory (VMI), consignment, stocking programs, and Min Order Quantity strategies with suppliers to meet inventory and fulfillment goals

·  Drive supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management excellence

·  Develop alternate sources and/or risk mitigation plans for single and sole source suppliers

·  Work closely with M&C and BHGE Commodity Strategy team, manufacturing, and engineering to meet shared business objectives

·  Support and drive a culture of simplification, compliance and shared cost ownership
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

·  Minimum 3 years of Sourcing and/or Supply Chain experience
Desired Characteristics

·  Bachelor's Degree in a Business or Technical field from an accredited college or university preferred

·  Demonstrated ability and willingness to read blueprints and technical specifications

·  Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in a matrix environment and manage multiple priorities

·  Possess SAP or related MRP system experience

·  Experience or aptitude to work in a high volume / short cycle environment

·  Strong project management skills with minimal supervision

·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·  Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills

·  Project management skills; experience developing and implementing strategic plans

·  Strong financial and business analytical skills

·  Strong negotiation and contract management skills

·  Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt Certification or equivalent quality certification with strong process mindset

·  Previous experience with sourcing projects in low cost regions

·  APICS / N.A.P.M. / C.P.M. Certification
