Role Summary/Purpose

The Lab in Israel is part of the GE Global Research AI organization responsible for developing advanced AI and analytics-based technologies and solutions for the different GE businesses.
The work in the lab includes research in the fields of machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision. The work in the lab includes medical imaging, process modeling, automated inspection, operations optimization and predictive analytics applications.
Essential Responsibilities

As an intern you will be working with researchers in developing innovative technologies and executing AI research projects using machine learning technologies. In particular you will be working on the developing and applying deep learning algorithms. You will be working with other researchers from different labs in GRC and business units on understanding needs, sharing common solutions, and implementing solutions.
In this role you will
- Perform AI related research work
- Introduce state of the art deep learning technologies to GE applications
- Cooperate with other researchers in understanding the needs and defining the solutions
- Implement algorithms mostly in Python environments
Qualifications/Requirements

- Ph.D student in computer science or related fields working in the fields of machine learning, deep learning, computer vision
- Good knowledge of the field and recent advances
- Experience in Python, TensorFlow/ PyTorch, on Linux and Windows platforms
- Experience in implementing high performance algorithms.
- Independent and innovative with the ability to understand requirements and to explore, evaluate, and select relevant technologies and implementations
- Good communication skills
- Fluent in English
