Role Summary/Purpose : GE Aviation, an operating unit of GE, is a world-leading provider of jet and turboprop engines, components, integrated digital, avionics, electrical power and mechanical systems for commercial, military, business and general aviation aircraft. Essential Responsibilities

Key focus areas include:
• Content creation, including writing, editing, interviews and videography for GE Aviation’s communication channels
• Research, writing, editing and distribution of press releases
• Redesign and management of GE Aviation communications hub internal website
• Message and story development for the web, articles, newsletters and employee emails
• Communications support for key initiatives, milestones and key events, such as the Farnborough Air Show and grassroots communication campaign
• Marketing Communications support for several product lines and events
• Video shooting, editing, transcription and archiving supporting small and large-scale video projects (internal and external)
Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications (what is required):
• Currently studying toward a Communications/Public Relations/English/Journalism or related degree – penultimate/final year
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated leadership in field of study, extracurricular activities or service organizations.
• Proven storytelling, writing and editing skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Enthusiasm and interest for the functional area applied for
• Able to take ownership for projects and work to challenging time limits
• Analytical problem solver
• Clear communication
• Ability to work as part of a team
