Role Summary/Purpose

This role is responsible for the organization, processing, monitoring, further development and integration of processes relevant to foreign trade considering the applicable customs and foreign trade regulations (Export Control Revision).
Essential Responsibilities

·  Verifying the reliability of export transactions in day-to-day operations (including the checking of goods, consignees, end destinations using suitable IT systems)
·  Organization of export procedures, i.e. monitoring of proper export transactions of involved export personnel
·  Regular training in the area of Export Control, basic trainings, refresher trainings as well as training of Export staff
·  Export and trade compliance Project coordination and support against internal GE customers for all export topics
·  Reporting to the management to avoid export violations and duty to report of deficiencies
·  Application of authorizations and simplification taking into consideration the applicable customs and foreign trade regulations
·  Exclusive contact and reporting to customs and export authorities (e.g. BAFA, Deutsche Bank)
·  Data classification for goods, e.g. request for BAFA rulings
·  Interdepartmental, subject-specific right of stopping and directing
·  Further development and preparation of work and organizational instructions from an export control point of view (Internal Compliance Program)
·  Contact in case of foreign trade audits by external authorities
Qualifications/Requirements

·  They have relevant professional experience in import and export and are familiar with the current customs regulations very well
·  Customs and foreign trade experience in export processing
·  Very good knowledge of English in spoken and written English
·  You have a solution- and service-oriented thinking, work structured and independent
·  Compliance with processes and international trade guidelines
·  Teamwork
·  Analytical thinking and action
·  Very good IT knowledge
·  Experience with GLProd ERP
