Role Summary/Purpose

The Electronics Engineer will primarily be responsible for design of miniaturized medical body worn sensors electronics and as part GE Wireless Sensors team for Patient Monitoring systems.
Essential Responsibilities

Electronics engineer will work as part of cross functional team consisting of industrial design, mechanics, software and usability representatives. Electronics engineer is responsible for hardware implementation including schematic design, layout, testing, documentation and related technical collaboration with component vendor and external service providers.
 

·  Design embedded electronics including schematic, layout and other manufacturing documentation 
·  Select components and preparing technology collaborations 
·  Perform needed electrical and system simulation when needed 
·  Building prototypes and coordinated larger printed wiring board builds 
·  Supporting debugging existing printed wiring boards in use 
·  Testing and reporting according to quality management system 
·  Contributing to product concepting and manufacturing ramp up
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering
·  Experience in the design of complex miniaturized electronical assemblies 
·  Experience of using HW design tools such (Altium Designer, Mentor PADs, Cadence) 
·  Knowledge in EMC design, testing and standards 
·  Innovative and fresh way for problem solving 
·  Good communication and team working skills to achieve best solutions together with other team members
·  Experience in working and negotiating with suppliers for components used in medical devices 
·  Fluency in English, both spoken and written 
·  EU work permit 
·  Ability to travel few times per year
Desired Characteristics

·  Masters degree in Electronics Engineering 
·  Experience in design of mobile products 
·   Experience in design of healthcare products is an advantage 
·  Experience in production test jigs and test systems 
·  Knowledge in wireless protocols and medical on body measurements 
·  Knowledge in battery and charging technologies 
·  Knowledge in using Product Data Management (PDM) tools 
·  Willingness to learn new technologies 
·  Willingness to do hands on prototyping and debugging
