Role Summary/Purpose
Provides financial analysis supporting Business Development Finance, including, supporting strategic evaluation, valuation, and due diligence of acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions and other business development opportunities.
Essential Responsibilities
· Partner with the BD Finance Leader to develop and maintain financial models and resources to ensure models reflect deal economics
· Support the process to analyze deal profitability, providing suggestions where appropriate to maximize opportunities.
· Support communication with Finance and non-Finance functions on transactions impacts (deal updates, pipeline pitches, ensuring accurate and timely updates to owner of overall BD model etc.)
· Partner with BU finance teams to drive portfolio reviews.
· Provides financial expertise and counsel to clients and team members.
· Thoroughly analyzes data for reasonableness & reviews variances by considering sources, current business activities and historical trends prior to releasing information to business stakeholders.
· Support deal due diligence, sign to close and all relevant workstreams as required.
· Flexibly and knowledgeably responds to ad-hoc requests
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college
· Minimum 2 years finance and/or business development experience
Eligibility Requirements:
· Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
· Must be willing to work out of a GE office located in Atlanta, GA, San Ramon, CA, Cincinnati, OH, Norwalk, CT, or Boston, Massachusetts.
