Role Summary/Purpose

GE Inspection Technologies (GEIT) is the leading supplier of non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment. GEIT operates running numerous Customer Solution Centers (CSC) across the world. The X-ray CSCs in Wunstorf and Ahrensburg are focused on supporting the European region. The CSC supports the sale of the Radiography Testing Machine product line comprising 2D Testing Machines, Computed Tomography (CT) systems, X-ray Inspection systems and CT coordinate measurement systems.
Essential Responsibilities

This position will help GE sales persons and dealers to achieve the assigned order volume in all market segments GE is selling to, including automotive, metrology, electronics, aerospace, oil & gas, and academia.

Your responsibilities include:

·  Worldwide sales support with strong focus on the European region

·  Development of customized application solutions in cooperation with customers

·  Application tests, demonstrations and feasibility studies

·  Presentation of our 2D, CT and CT coordinate measurement X-ray systems

·  Global trade show support as necessary

·  Conducting and performing system acceptance and training at customer site

·  Consulting/advising customers

·  Inspection / CT service in the Ahrensburg CSC

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Degree in physics/engineering or equivalent technical field
·  Knowledge and interest in industrial process and technology
·  Fluent English and German language, additional language skills are welcome
·  Enjoy customer contact; support and problem solving

·  Enjoy travel; both within region and globally

·  Team player, being proactive, autonomous and creative

·  Self-motivated, being able to work in a dynamic environment and handle pressure from project schedule and technical challenges

Desired Characteristics

·  X-ray inspection technology knowledge

·  Practical experience in 2D and CT image acquisition and image processing software

·  Customer consulting experience
