Our FAURECIA EMISSIONS CONTROL TECHNOLOGIES EUROPE DIVISION is looking for a VIE PACKAGING & TRANSPORT COMMODITY BUYER for its CENTRAL PURCHASING DEPARTMENT in AUGSBURG, GERMANY.
The role of the VIE Packaging & Transport Commodity Buyer is to structure the building of a supplier panel for one or more commodities to improve the economic productivity of the portfolio.
The main missions of the role are:
Structure the panel : participate in the definition and the implementation of the purchasing panel policy for assigned commodities, manage supplier selection according to Group criteria.
Coordinate Request For Quotation and sourcing actions in collaboration with the Logistics Coordinators and the Series buyers.
Panel performance management : ensure a regular follow-up of the supplier performance with the Quality and Logistics Management.
Identify and implement savings opportunities to improve global productivity.
Negotiate and implement general agreements with the main suppliers.
Ensure the convergence to the target panel together with the Plant Buyers and Logistics departments.
Analyze and present the economic results of the commodity each month.
The ideal candidate will have/be :
Master's degree in engineering with a specialization in international purchasing.
Experience or training in the domain of automotive supply chain.
Results oriented and able to work in a matrix organization.
International mind set, overseas experience a bonus.
Fluent in English, German is an advantage.
