Faurecia Clean Mobility Asia division is looking for a VIE Noise, Vibration & Harshness m/f for its technical center based in Shanghai – China.
As member of the NVH team (Noise Vibration Harshness), the Acoustic Engineer is responsible for assisting the development of programs on his field of expertise. The main missions of the role are:
Planning and performing standard simulations: backpressure, acoustic calculation using our in-house 1 dementional frequency domain code, Acoustic Calculation with time domain tools like Wave and/or Gt-Power
Interacting with the other teams (CAD, durability, others) to create a robust product by achieving the best trade-off between the various constraints
Analyzing simulation and tests results: interact with testing team to correlate the prediction models as well as identify and solve NVH issues
Collaborating with other experts on our simulation tools, Matlab/Scilab/other softwares
Propose solutions based on testing and prediction results
Coordinating prototype building and defining measurement methods
Participating in the Development Validation Plan (DVP) with Product Engineer
Acting as member of the International Acoustic Technical network
The NVH Engineer will be part of the Expert Department of Shanghai Technical Center. S/He will work closely with other experts, program core teams, testing team and prototype team. S/He will receive exposure working on various number of program including locals, Asian and global development. FCM Shanghai Minbei site is located one hour from Shanghai city center; it regroups FCM Asia and China Business headquarters, FCM Shanghai Technology Center (Design & Development Center, Prototype Shop, and Asia Standard Equipment Center). The site host more than 400 staff including employees from China, France, Korea, Germany, UK, USA, Canada, Czech Republic, Spain and India.
The length of the VIE is 12 months (could be renewed once until 24 months).

The ideal candidate will have/be:
Master degree in Engineering with specialization in NVH, acoustic or mechanics
Two years of experience in NVH, acoustic or testing within the automotive industry. Laboratory experience would be a plus.
Technical experience with simulation code (ideally Gt-Power or Wave) and tools (ideally Matlab/Scilab)
Passion for Asian cultures and languages such as Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai or Malaysian
Global mindset with proven cross-cultural communication and adaptation skills
Team player attitude with demonstrated problems solving capacity
Potential leadership competencies with drive to grow and develop within Faurecia
Fluent in English
