Summary:


 

Working in a self-managed, team concept, the Data Analytics Engineer will be a part of the Engineering Team within the Capital Projects structure and will report to the Engineering Team Leader.  The successful candidate is responsible for the development and implementation of energy and occupancy data collection, processing, and analysis program that will enable us to provide high-value, custom fit energy solutions for the Ohio State Columbus campus. This program is a “start-up” business and this role is fitting for a driven, creative and ambitious individual that is excited to embrace the team culture of a successful start-up organization. 

Responsabilities:

·        Design and build the data analytics platform that will enable the Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) program and other energy projects to function;

·        Work closely with other ECM team members, assist with implementation of rules, culture and business processes of the start-up ECM program;

·     Assist the ECM Project Managers on creating collaborative and behavioral ECMs solutions such as mobile applications, student competitions, etc.;

·      Establish protocols to quantify the impact of Ohio State projects on the Energy Use Intensity;

·     Maintain awareness on current and new technologies and analyze their applicability to the program;

·     Initiate, develop, and market out of scope projects;

·     Participate in scoping, contracting and managing consultants and contractors;

·     Develop and maintain good relationships with the ENGIE subsidiaries and our partners;

·     Participate in the management of the internship program;

·      Opportunity available to advance within ENGIE as a Project Manager;

·      Establish and maintain good working relationships with the University staff;

·      Liaise with ENGIE entities and colleagues for knowledge sharing. 

 

Requirements:

·         Must be a champion of the six guiding principles of the ENGIE team @Ohio State;

·     Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering or in related field or bachelor’s degree with practical experience and knowledge of relevant technical systems;

·      2 to 4 years of experience in related field;

·      Experience with the ASHRAE guideline section 14 is a plus;

·      Knowledge of IT architecture;

·      Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);

·      Hard work ethic, self-starter, can-do attitude;

·      Knowledge of modern management tools in continuous improvement.
