Van goes global! The great heterogeneity, volatility as well as the fast pace of the Overseas markets result in a high level of complexity and various challenges for our daily work: 17 markets including 180 countries spread across 21 time zones with different cultures, customers, politics and competition. But while facing constant risks and changes these circumstances at the same time imply a great potential for growth. With new products such as the Mercedes Benz X Class Pick Up or the new generation Sprinter as well as exciting projects and strategies, Mercedes Benz Vans will continue its ongoing growth in the upcoming years. In this context, it is our key task to ensure and significantly increase the Overseas sales volume.

To achieve this common goal and maximum market utilization in the Overseas region the new department Business Development Overseas (VAN/VOD) will start of in January 2017. Therefor we are looking for a motivated and international orientated intern to support our team in the field of Marketing Operations. The function Marketing Operations Overseas will focus on the enablement of the markets in creating the local marketing plans in combination with the steering and allocation of the marketing budget. Ideally starting in the beginning of February 2017, you will have the chance to support us in versatile tasks.

Your tasks will include:
- Intensive coordination, communication, meetings and training with the markets
Analysis of marketing activities in the markets including the evaluation and
consolidation of the individual requirements for the local marketing activities
Professionalization of the markets regarding their marketing activities;
- Create transparency on the marketing spending effectiveness
- Building a new blue print process for marketing planning and spending,
including the implementation in one of our key markets (e.g. USA)
- Allocating the yearly marketing budget according to the new blue print process
- Creation of advanced tools and presentations

Qualifications

Course of Studies: Business Administration or Business Engineering with a major in Marketing, Communication, Management, Automotive or similar
Preferably prior experiences in the automotive industry and/or in a marketing related field
Language skills: Very good skills in English and German, both verbally and written
IT-skills: Advanced skills in MS Office applications, especially Power Point and Excel
individual skills: Positive, open minded and ambitious team player, who can communicate confidentially in an international context; Creativity combined with an affinity for numbers and ability of analytical thinking
miscellaneous: Preferably international experience
