Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking a Systems Administrator to work in our Colorado Springs, CO location. The successful candidate will provide support to NIWC-PAC for the Data Center Consolidation and Network Support Services effort at the NORAD & USNORTHCOM (N&NC) Headquarters. The candidate will be responsible for working with our Network Engineering Team to provide system-level support as required to integrate new devices into the existing N&NC data center infrastructure. The candidate will work directly with Government and Contractor personnel to ensure successful integration of new hardware into the existing environment. The ideal Systems Administrator will be self-motivated and have a interest in furthering their knowledge in networking, as ample opportunity to assist with Network Engineering tasks exists. Our team is small and tight-knit, and we do what it takes to get the job done. Additional duties include acting as the Accountable Property Officer (APO) and being responsible for maintaining the equipment inventory.

The Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative (FDCCI) effort directs all Federal agencies to consolidate data centers and improve efficiency of all Information Technology (IT) operations. The goal is to reduce costs, enhance IT security posture, apply best practices and promote energy efficiencies. In response, the Secretary of the Navy, through the Navy’s Chief Information Officer (DoN CIO), established the DCAO and identified Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) as the lead. The DCAO oversees the consolidation process and transition from legacy data centers to the Navy Enterprise Data Center (NEDC) sites and the sustainment of those systems. The work to be conducted under this contract will support SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific in providing technical services to support technical and operational activities in the Cyberspace and IT domain by the Navy, DoD, and other Government Agencies.

Your future duties and responsibilities
- Work directly with Network Engineers to support deployment and integration of new data center technologies, such as ForeScout Comply-to-Connect and F5 BIG-IP
- Provide Microsoft Windows Server 2012 & 2016 administration support
- Troubleshoot potential server-related issues, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Certificates (PKI)
- Setup and configure systems as needed for data center projects
- Create and maintain Virtual Machines in Nutanix and VMware
- Complete APO training and act as Primary APO for the project's DPAS equipment account
- Maintain equipment inventory and delivery of items between work site and off-site storage
- Create SDP, RDP, ELS and SVAT documentation and/or provide input as needed
- Assist to implement network solutions in a Juniper data center environment
- Provide top-tier technical support with support of Network Engineers
- Has direct liaison with Government technical customer
- Performs additions and changes to data center hardware and operating systems, and attached devices; include investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation, and testing of new network hardware and software

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Demonstrate firm understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Server administration
- Ability to troubleshoot Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Certificate issues
- Strong understanding of TCP-IP networking fundamentals and design
- REQUIRED: IAT II Certification with Microsoft Server OS certification
- Support forensic data as required when needed to de-conflict issues when they arise
- Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to Information Assurance (IA) and Configuration Management (CM) standards
- Demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience to appropriately apply a methodology to projects that have reasonably well-defined project requirements and deliverables
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and SharePoint
- Ability to successfully complete drug testing based on contract requirements
- Ability to establish working relations at all organizational levels, including the ability to diplomatically and effectively deal with Government stakeholders
- Self-motivator with ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision or direction
- Team player willing to assist with any tasking required to complete project goals
- Interest in seeking deeper knowledge with Juniper networking and assisting Network Engineers with networking-related tasks
- Professional oral and written presentation skills
- Attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong interpersonal and consultative skills to effectively communicate requirements
- Able to work after hours and/or weekends to support sensitive migrations

Desired Skills:
- Expertise in Microsoft SharePoint Server administration
- Experience with Microsoft Service Center System Manager (SCSM)
- Knowledge of N&NC J6 change management processes
- Knowledge of N&NC J6 network design
- Knowledge of DoD Cybersecurity requirements
