Internship Implementation of Agent Architecture for Energy Management (m/f)

Aufgaben

We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and challenging internship in the field of Energy Management Research and Development. Our department is responsible for the concept development for in vehicle, energy administration systems. This provides a large sandbox for the team to seek higher degrees in vehicle operation efficiency. Energy management deals with optimizing energy flow throughout the vehicle for example scavenging rejected energy, efficient storage also energy conversion/transport. We are a research department, located at the Forschungs- und Innovationszentrum, and work closely together with specialized groups to communicate and integrate new technologies. As part of your work as an intern (m/f) you support our team developing a new strategic control system. The target is to achieve higher degrees of efficiency and to further enable BMW to develop complex and intelligent vehicles. This approach aims to be a decentralized, dynamic and adaptive control mechanism that adopts optimal, strategic energy allocation solutions to changes in the environment. The scope of your tasks mainly focuses on assisting developing the control mechanism architecture in java and coupling the mechanism to the vehicle domain. You help our project team to develop systems which will be simulated for behavioral observation and validation. Furthermore you are involved in establishing a systematic method of product development which writes and maintains the documentation of the implemented code. Finally testing implemented components is also a part of your responsibility.

Desired profile

Qualifikation

- Studies of Computational Sciences, Programming or a comparable course of studies.

- Second half diploma, bachelor´s degree or master´s program.

- Funded knowledge in JAVA programming language.

- Knowledge in decentralized, dynamic and adaptive control mechanisms.

- Knowledge in MS Office.

- German and English business fluent.

- Teamwork and communication skills.
