THE TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM:
The TDP provides an excellent opportunity for talented graduates to kick-start their career within the Global Science and Technology (GST) organization at Baxter.
The TDP member will have the opportunity to rotate across different functions such as:
Electromechanical Device R&D
Pharmaceutical and Drug R&D
Project Management for R&D
Manufacturing
Regulatory Affairs
Quality
And will have the chance to work in 2 to 3 sites within the EMEA region, including:
Braine l’Alleud, Belgium (R&D center)
Hechingen, Germany (Dialyser R&D Center)
Medolla, Italy (Device Engineering R&D Center)
Lund, Sweden (Device Engineering R&D Center)
Malta (Disposables R&D Center)
SUMMARY:
This position is for TDP role in BAP, which would evaluate new sterilization technologies, especially for heat sensitive products like Nutrition. The TDP could make several rotations of 6-9 months around this topic in different departments involved in this project (formulation, process, manufacturing, sterility assurance..)
THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES:
- Support tech scouting of sterilization technologies currently available on the market
- Participate to the evaluation & selection process of those technologies
- Participate / support / organize the productions of feasibility and development batches of different formulations to evaluate those technologies
- Use current physical, chemical and physicochemical techniques (pH, color, visual inspection, HPLC, UPLC) to evaluate critical parameters
- Participate actively to the innovation process to generate new ideas
- Document results in laboratory notebooks according to established GDP procedures.
It will also be required to:
- Interpret experimental data and present conclusions using statistical analysis
- Write comprehensive protocols and reports in English.
- Adhere to the quality system requirements and ensure GMP and GDP standards; also adhere to general and specific environmental, health and safety (EHS) guidelines..
PROFILE:
- Hold a degree of Master in Sciences (University) in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Industrial Engineering (preferably chemically oriented), Bio-engineering.
- Preferably 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in industry.
- Experience in formulation and/or process development would be an asset
- Knowledge of microbiology and industrial sterilization technologies would be an asset.
- Some knowledge of chemistry and analytical techniques (physico-chemistry and chromatography, HPLC) would be ab asset
- Ability to perform mathematic modeling would be a plus
- Have good creativity thinking skills
- Have good communication skills and be able to use critical thinking.
- Have a proven ability to work independently and be able to work in a team.
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
