At Amazon we put our customer's first in everything we do. Within AVS (Alexa Voice Services) our customers are 3rd party device makers looking to incorporate Alexa into their products. We partner with device makers and developers to help them integrate pre-built Alexa platform solutions into their product as well as explore new Alexa features for their product segments through prototyping, research, and design development. We are a strategic and well-funded area of growth for Amazon where you'll be involved in all aspects of Alexa's product, partnership and awesome culture.

We are seeking a Senior Voice User Interaction Designer to define, design and deliver voice-forward solutions. Leaning on your passion for new technologies like speech and AI, you will look around corners to define, design and deliver unparalleled experiences that bring value and delight to our customers. To accomplish this, you will be responsible for developing and socializing an experience that drives engagement and excitement throughout the organization - working closely with our partners in research, design and product management across Amazon to help shape this next generation experience for Amazon Alexa.

The ideal candidate is a passionate, yet pragmatic designer that can analyze customer behaviors, identify opportunities to solve problems, and create a best-in-class experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You should be passionate about working strategically with internal and external executives and other senior leaders to create and deliver big, visionary and customer-focused solutions.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 6+ years of professional experience as a UX designer, interaction designer, or product designer
· Experience with voice or multimodal speech interfaces
· Experience with speech language technologies, e.g. voice user interfaces (VUI), speech recognition (ASR), language understanding (grammars or NLU), text to speech (TTS)
· Bachelor's Degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, Linguistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Cognitive Science, or a related field
· Experience working cross-team and synthesizing feedback and input from product management, engineering, and marketing
· Experience presenting to and advising senior management
