As a Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) on the team, you'll have big impact on how customers, even friends and family, engage with Amazon.

We are looking for an accomplished QAE to hold a critical role on the central QA team in the pursuit of delivering Amazon's flagship app to our customers at the highest bar of quality. In this role, you will certify the quality of one of the most complex mobile apps on the market. You will validate code through a variety of methods, which include: manual test cases, writing test automation, and use of various tools. You will drive quality in an app presenting unique challenges of scale with over 150 team actively contributing to Amazon's shopping app experience. You will define effective processes and testing methodologies, evangelize mobile testing best practices, and collaborate with your teammates to enhance our test automation solutions. You will partner with the app release team to push new experiences to the delight of our customers on a regular cadence and be empowered to have the final say on the app's readiness for release to millions of customers worldwide. We leverage industry standards, and where they fall short of meeting Amazon's unique scaling requirements, we innovate and build ourselves.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
· 3+ years of software QA testing experience.
· 3+ years of expertise in testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles.
· 3+ years of Software QA automation experience working with the following technologies: Java, Java Script, Python, PERL, etc.
