The AWS OpsWorks team in Berlin is looking for an experienced Engineer, who is passionate about distributed systems architecture, takes pride in building reliable systems, and enjoys working with dedicated team members. The role will be focused on building and maintaining infrastructure management solutions that we offer as managed services to our customers so that they can benefit from the level of operational excellence that we thrive for day by day.

If you are a "Find it, Fix it, Automate it, Never worry about it again" kind of engineer, who is able to coach this attitude to more junior engineers, you will enjoy our fast growing innovative environment.

Your job will be to work with our Software Development and System Engineers to operate our business, develop internal tools, and drive integration of new System Management offerings to our customers.

Responsibilities include:
· Building systems that are running in AWS data-centers around the globe
· Monitoring the performance and availability of our infrastructure to ensure we deliver the highest quality customer experience
· Building new tools to root-cause and fix customer issues as they appear
· Working directly with partners and other AWS cross-functional teams to improve integration of new offerings for our customers

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 3+ years relevant work experience
· 3+ years experience in coding with at least 2 of Java, Bash, Ruby, Python or Go
· 3+ years of operating production services and distributed systems
· Profound knowledge of data structures, algorithms
· Strong Linux systems administration skills
· Hands on software developer
