The project (either ATS+ or GOC) aims at delivering a traffic regulation system to SNCF Reseau, to be deployed either in areas of Ile de France (ATS+ starting with Nanterre-Vernon-Cergy) or nationally (GOC starting with Paris-Lyon-Marseille).
OBJECTIVE OF THE MISSION :
The VIE will be part of a Project Engineering team based on Alstom’s site of Bologna in Italy, reporting locally to the Project Engineering Manager.
He/she will interface primarily with the Product Development team based in Bologna and with the Project Management team based in Paris.
The VIE will also interface with the final customer to demonstrate functionalities and support the Customer in their testing activities.
The VIE will be responsible for Integration and Validation activities for the project :
- Integration activities consist of the testing of installation and data customization/configuration of software components produced by French and Italian teams.
- Validation activities consist of the functional testing of the traffic regulation software, using test procedures and related user documentation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Contribute to the definition of the integration strategy
- Integrate software components developed by the product team in Bologna and by the project team in Paris/Bologna
- Verify the proper integration and basic functionality before validation testing
- Contribute to the definition of the testing strategy
- Perform the test of the traffic regulation system in factory
- Report anomalies and participate to their resolution through analysis and communication with the development teams
- Prepare integration and validation test and report documents
- Demonstrate the system functionality to the customer according the functional specification
- Obtain acceptance of functionality from the Project representatives
- Assist the customer in the definition of their own integration and validation tests
- Contribute to the Customer user documentation
CANDIDATE'S PROFILE :
Engineer Degree
- Software speciality
Experience on Verification and Validation would be an asset
Fluent in English / Italian would be an asset
Rigorous / Dynamic / Autonomous
Communications skills / Team spirit
