A vacancy for a Wind Tunnel Test Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join “Wind Tunnel Tests”.

Tasks

You can expect the following tasks and responsibilities:

·  Management and execution of wind tunnel test projects
·  Requirements capture
·  Development of test and model concepts, test technologies
·  Test and model specification, definition of test plan
·  Management of and participation in model design, manufacturing, instrumentation and integration
·  Communication with stakeholders, management of suppliers
·  Participation in wind tunnel test campaigns
·  Processing and analysis of aerodynamic data, quality assurance
·  Programming of specific software
·  Data management
·  CFD analyses
·  Reporting and controlling

Qualification

Ideally you bring along the following skills and experiences:

·  Master in Aerospace Engineering
·  Knowledge and ability to perform Wind Tunnel Testing for research or development programmes requesting accurate aerodynamic data and flow patterns evaluation. 
·  Ability to define and improve the facilities and the techniques employed taking into account different stakeholders.
·  CATIA V5 would be a plus
·  German and English negotiation level
