For Airbus Operations in Hamburg within the department Manufacturing Line Design we are looking for a VIE Flow Simulation Engineer (m/f).
You will contribute directly to the Airbus Industrial strategy by defining, developing and deploying manufacturing flow models and process simulations. With a knowledge on discrete event simulation & software, you will deliver Airbus flow models and
manufacturing flow simulations to analyze & improve customer's operations.
You will be in charge of:
- Creating, delivering and standardizing flow simulation models of existing and future manufacturing Lines/Plants
- Collaborating with industrial engineers on flow simulations to balance production rate across processes, understand material
flow, determine buffer requirements and maximize factory throughput
- Capitalizing and growing knowledge and autonomy of the center of competence
Your Tasks:
- Contribute and participate to the creation of the center of competence with a "start-up" mindset
- Create and maintain flow models and simulations
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Educated to a 5-year degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
- Knowledge of industrialization principles/production management
- Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing Principles
- Knowledge in flow simulation modeling (Plant Simulation or Anylogic)
- Scientific programming skills, Data analytics
