Description of the job

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). For Airbus in Stade (near Hamburg) within the Strategic Procurement department we are looking for a VIE - Buyer (m/f)

Start: November 2018
Duration: 24 months

As VIE - Buyer you will acquire an in-depth insight into the Strategic Procurement of Aerostructure Parts for the VTP (Vertical Tail Plane) A320, A330, A350, A380 und A400. This involves Global Sourcing of Aerostructure Parts from eg. Turkey, Japan, China, Germany and Spain as well as Contracting and Negotiations with Airbus First Tier Suppliers.

Your main Tasks will be:

·  Support during the call for tender process
·  Project support
·  Support for procurement strategy
·  Support for contract work and negotiation
·  Maintain contract database

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

You offer:

·  University degree within Business Administration, Logistics/Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering or similar field of study
·  First experiences in Procurement/Supply Management are an advantage
·  Advanced MS-Office skills are required
·  English: negotiation Level

You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
