Job Description

A vacancy for a Vibration Testing Analyst (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the Engineering Flight and Integration Tests Centre.

The 'Vibration and EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) testing' team, in Airbus Toulouse, is looking for motivated and willing-to-learn engineers for a Ground and Flight Vibration Testing Analyst.

Within the Flight and Integration Test Centre our group is in charge of all vibration tests mandatory during development phase but also those needed for trouble-shooting on events occurring during delivery phase or during in-service flights.

The vibration tests are performed either in laboratory (shaker tests) or on aircrafts on ground (tap tests, shaker tests) or in flight (comfort studies, aeroelasticity, systems vibration and aircraft structural parts vibration) for the whole Airbus fleet. Vibration data processing is spectral, modal, fatigue and damage analysis (time domain and frequency domain analysis).
• Mechanics, vibration, structure or rotor dynamics
• Signal processing and frequency analysis
• Engine equipment mechanical integration
• Flexible to adapt to an operational and reactive environment

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Supporting to A/C certification, ensure testing expertise for all programs
• Analysising and optimizing of test requirements coming from Design Office, Programs, Mise Au Point, Production, Customer Support and the Tests Centre
• Planning, preparation, real time follow-up of tests, data processing and mechanical analysis on all vibration related topics (dynamic ground test, flutter, engine & systems vibration tests, Major In Service Problems)
• Shaker and modal analysis of gathered tests results, signal processing
• Continuous improvement of data processing means and tools

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

You will have the following skills and experience:

• Educated to Master's degree level (or equivalent) in Aeronautical Engineering
• Mechanics, vibration, structure or rotor dynamics
• Signal processing and frequency analysis
• Engine equipment mechanical integration
• Flexible to adapt to an operational and reactive environment
• A advance level of English.
