Description of the job

A vacancy for a Technical Publication Writer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Bezons.

You will join Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Department within Defence Solutions Organisation to support Airbus Defence and Space in providing technical documentation for all its products, in assuring customer's satisfaction and system availability through the delivery of quality and efficient manuals and in developing training material for Airbus.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Technical publication :

 Write modular and reusable manuals in English and French (operator, installation, maintenance and administration manuals, with regards to hard and software). Collect stakeholder's needs and synthesize the information gathered. Fully responsible for these topics in a project/product team.
 Provide support to program teams on all matters related to technical documentation.

·  Training & authoring :

 Develop off the shelf training documentation for Airbus operator and technical training (training plan, lessons management plans, exercises specifications, certificates, instructor notes…)
 Develop e-learning for Airbus product.
 Develop contextual online help for Airbus product.
 Maintain training material up to date.
 Continuously improve training material using customer/trainers feedback.

·  Participate to ILS methods and processes development.
·  Continuous improvement of Airbus documents and reuse content.
·  Training material development.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to Engineering degree (or equivalent) in Quality or Methods or a related discipline.
·  Work experience of 3 years in technical publication and ILS.
·  Work experience in nautical, maritime and port industries desirable.
·  Good knowledge of :

 Adobe Framemaker, specific standard (s1000D, STE)
 MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
 Adobe Acrobat, Adobe RoboHelp
 Drawing Tools
 ASD standards (S1000D, S3000L)
