Description of the job

A vacancy for a System Operations Architect (m/f) for Falcon Eye has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. You will join TESOF2 department.
You will join the Falcon Eye System Operations team, as part of the System Operations Architect, to fulfil the preparation, validation and executions of Falcon Eye system operations products.
You will participate to the functional design activities within the project, the development of the end-to-end system operations, the integration of the operational components/tools needed to perform the mission, and the validation of the FE system operations product delivered by Airbus Defence & Space are as required by the customer requirements.
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
Priority will be given to employees whose position is impacted by a workforce adaptation initiative.

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Analyzing the mission,
·  Managing the satellite simulator requirements in terms of representativeness and delivery schedule,
·  Managing the System Data Base delivery schedule,
·  Configuring the Control Ground Segment (according to the System Operations requirements), including satellite monitoring & control (OpenCenter),automatic activities management (MOSAIC), mission programming (MISEO), mission plan verification (PAVEO), satellite orbit management & collision avoidance (Quartz), and other components specific to Falcon Eye system (TWMU…)
·  Developing the procedures at system level,
·  Preparing and performing the different project phases (Satellite TQ, System TQ/OQ, LEOP, IOT, and preparation of the Continuous Support),
·  Preparing and delivering the System User Manuals,
·  Preparing and performing the System Operations training for the Customers,
·  Interfacing with different teams within the system (TESU, TESOA, TESC…)
·  Participating in project technical and progress meetings,
·  Participating to system and equipment reviews,
·  Participating to the transverse activities to improve the System Operations products.

This role will involve frequent travel for business in Abu Dhabi and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to Master degree level
·  Space engineering related technical disciplines (AOCS, functional tests in AIT, FDIR, Operations, Software and Functional Avionics chain),Space systems, subsystems and equipment development,
·  Previous experience in Spacecraft in-flight operations,or AOCS,or Spacecraft AIT,or FDIR preparation or on-board SW activities,or CGS development,or Spacecraft simulators development,would be appreciated,
·  Autonomy, able to work with minimum supervision,
·  Result oriented, proactive approach,
·  Good communication and presentation skills,
·  Effective at working in a multi-disciplinary team,
·  Experience of interfacing with project teams,
·  Systems Thinking - Lean in Engineering - General Systems IV&V,
·  Taste for innovation,
·  Language Skills: negotiation level of English.
