Description of the job

A vacancy for a Supply Officer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Hamburg. You will join the Supply Mgmt/ Det. Parts+Raw Materials team.

Tasks & accountabilities

You will have to provide efficient support throughout the implementation and achieving of the defined departmental goals.
In addition you will be in charge of the coordination within the following departments: purchasing, suppliers, quality, manufacturing, engineering, logistics.
Supported by Airbus tools and statistics, you will take care for :

·  understanding/levelling the demand (serial and additional requirements)
·  optimizing and maintaining the ordering and logistic parameters in your perimeter
·  providing forecasts and PO placement
·  interacting with suppliers to anticipate and secure the deliveries
·  resource management
·  troubleshooting and recovery actions and escalation measures
·  monitoring of the performance of suppliers (delays/overdued PO´s)
·  initiating and working on PPS topics to solve issues
·  managing NC / QN and financial issues (OFD)
·  managing communication and collaboration to customers / SQCDP.

This requires the ability to monitor and secure the availability of needed material at point of use (POU), including special measures aiming at protecting the internal customer in the most critical cases. You will be willing to deal and participate in national and international meetings with our global suppliers/ customers.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar
·  Advanced supply chain ordering experience
·  Good MS Office and SAP skills
·  Ability to work in a transnational environment
·  Customer-orientation and assertiveness
·  Teamplayer, excellent negotiation skills
·  Proactive and solution-oriented way of working
·  Negotiation skills in German and English.
