You will write your Ph. D. thesis within Wireless communications, sensing and powering in aerospace environments.

Tasks & accountabilities
Your exciting topic:
· Creation of architectures and concepts for network operations in aerospace
· Implementation of HW/SW demonstrators
· Conduction of simulations and measurement campaigns
· Documentation of results and scientific publishing
· Investigation into integration of wireless communications, sensing and powering on board of aircraft and spacecraft
· Creation of architectures, concepts and layout planning for integrated operations
· Implementation of HW/SW demonstrators
· Conduction of simulations and measurement campaigns
· Documentation of results and scientific publishing

Required skills
You offer:
· Completed studies (m/f) within Electrical Engineering, Engineering Avionics, Informatics, Engineering Communications or similar field of study
· Knowledge of wireless networks and protocols
· Knowledge of radar-type systems
· Skills in programming languages (embedded systems, C++, Java, MATLAB, …)
· Skills in mathematical optimisation advantageous (AMPL, Gurobi, C, …)
· English: fluent
· German: would be an advantage
You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
